The postnatal period for a mother is very difficult. The body has gone through significant physical trauma from birth as well as the extended stress of growing a baby for 10 months while single-handedly supplying all the nutrients to the growing baby. After birth, the mother becomes sleep deprived and stressed while trying to recover while and still providing all of the nutrition to the newborn(s). Postnatal depletion from all of this can take up to two years from the cessation of breast feeding! This protocol is designed to help support the mother’s body in the recovery process and managing the stressor that come with having a newborn.
