Graston Technique (GT) is a form of IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation) that allows our doctors to find and break up adhesions, fascial restrictions and scar tissue in muscle tissue. It can also be used for ligaments and tendons with the same effects. Active release technique is a manual hands on treatment for muscles. This is one of the more effective but also intense treatments for the muscle. It requires stretching the desired muscle through the entire range of motion of the muscle. This procedure ideally requires access to the skin above the muscle but can be done through clothing if needed.
Gonstead is a different style of adjusting the body that we sometimes use in addition to our standard adjusting technique of Diversified. This is generally only used in the lower back/pelvis and the upper cervical spine in our office. This is a great technique for people who have a really hard time relaxing for neck adjustments.

Logan basic is a low force technique that focuses on the sacrum (aka tail bone) as the basis of the evaluation and treatment. We typically only utilize this on babies but occasionally will be an option on a pregnant woman.
Traction, or in some cases it is called a decompression utilizes a specialized table to gently apply computer controlled traction to either the neck or the back.
