Generally it does not hurt; however, in some cases it can be temporarily uncomfortable. If you have concerns, please discuss them with Dr. Hannegan or Dr. Wilson at your first visit.

Yes, in fact children often respond much faster than adults. Sometimes chiropractic can even help with conditions such as ear infections and colic.

Chiropractic care has been shown to be very effective in treating herniated and bulging discs in the neck and back. We also have spinal decompression or mechanical traction that can be used to treat these conditions.

More than one treatment is typically required because the tissues surrounding the spine have adjusted to the dysfunction in the spine and are not used to the movement introduced by the adjustment. Also, it takes some time to correct improper movement patterns. You may feel better after the first visit, but it takes several adjustments for the tissues to adapt to proper spinal function again. Everyone is different, and Dr. Hannegan and Dr. Wilson will create an individual treatment plan specialized to treat you and the issues you are experiencing.

We recommend you wear clothing that you will be comfortable moving around in. Our exam requires unrestricted movement of the whole body to correctly assess your condition. We may require access to the skin over the injured area as well.

Your first visit at Performance Chiropractic will take 45 minutes for the full exam and any necessary treatment.

Treatment takes about 45 minutes for your initial exam and about 30 minutes for treatment thereafter.

We are happy to work with any primary care physician!
